No smoking

Our Policies are under review and will be updated on our website in due course.  These changes are in accordance with the revised EYFS - Dated June 2021

Safeguarding and Welfare Requirement: Safety and Suitability of Premises, Environment and Equipment.

Providers must not allow smoking in or on the premises when children are present or about to be present

 

Statement of intent

We comply with health and safety regulations and the Safeguarding and Welfare Requirements of the Early

Years Foundation Stage in making our setting a no-smoking environment – both indoors and outdoors.

 

Procedures

 

  1. All staff, parents and volunteers are made aware of our No-smoking Policy.
  2. We display no-smoking signs.
  3. The No-smoking policy is stated in our information for parents.
  4. Staff who smoke do not do so during working hours, unless on a break and off the premises.
  5. Staff who smoke during their break make every effort to reduce the effect of the odour and lingering effects of passive smoking for children and colleagues.
  6. This includes the use of vapes
