Well what a start to this year, but at last we can hopefully see some light at the end of tunnel and a return to a more normal way of life. We have loved having some children in pre-school during this last lockdown and have enjoyed seeing all the activities from those that were at home. We cant wait to see you all again and start the next term together.
HEALTHY EATING POLICY REMINDER
Please make us aware of any dietary and/or allergies for individual children. NO NUTS in lunch boxes. This includes nut snack boxes, peanut butter sandwiches, and Nutella sandwiches. NO fizzy drinks, sweets, chocolate bars (e.g. mars, dairy milk). We would also like to remind you that if GRAPES are included in lunches PLEASE can you CUT them into small pieces. We have emailed you all the new silver Healthy Eating Policy that we are now following as it has changes in it regarding lunch box contents.
Invoices for lunch club or session fees are due in advance, we would prefer direct bank payments. Please keep up to date. Snack donations: please do remember we do have a contactless payment machine if you would like to donate towards the purchase of snack. Thank you
We have a Ladybirds Porchester page and a Parent Forum Facebook page for you to be involved with.
You should all now have a password to access your child’s tapestry account; please feel free to add your own photos, comment on staff observations of your child and look at the “home learning suggestions” made to help support your child. Any questions please see a member of staff.
30 HOURS FUNDING ELIGIBILITY:
Please can we remind those families who are accessing 30hrs funding that they need to re-check their eligibility every 3 months. If this is not completed, you will be charged for the sessions. If you wish to access 30 hours from 1st April 2019 you will need to get a code by March 2019 and inform Zoe.
As the weather hopefully warms up, plesae can we remind you to put sun cream on your children before attending pre-school. If your child is attending pre-school all day, please provide a named bottle. We have free flow play throughout the day and your child's safty in the sun is very important. For £5 per academic year we can provide sun creram protection for your child. If you have already paid for this year you are covered up until 16th July 2021.
TRANSITION TO BIG SCHOOL
On 16th April you will be informed by email about which school your child has been allocated for September. We will then start transition work with receiving schools and introduce PE sessions etc at pre-school to help with this exciting time. Look out for more details.
Unfortunately this half term Clare, due to personal circumstances, will not be retuning to Ladybirds. We wish her well for the future.
Thank you to those that were able to attend our virtual AGM. Remember if you are interested in being on the Parent Forum or want to be considered to be on the Board of Directors please do come and speak to Zoe.
PRE-SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHY DAY:
On Thursday 27th May we will (hopefully!) be having a photographer coming in to take beautiful photos of your children to remind you of their time at pre-school. We will have a booking system if your child doesn’t normally attend. It will be Katie returning, who has taken our photos before.
