We hope you are all enjoying some of the relaxations of the COVID restrictions and enjoying the sunnier days!
SUNCREAM: Please can we remind you to put suncream on your children before pre-school, and if in all day provide a named bottle or sign up to the £5 suncream offer. SUN HATS: Please send your child with a suitable sun hat. CLOSED TOE SHOES: Open toe sandals and crocs are not suitable footwear for pre-school activities, please ensure their whole foot is enclosed in suitable footwear. We have free flow play throughout the day and your child’s safety in the sun is very important.
TRANSITION to BIG school: This term will be very busy in terms of supporting children to make a smooth transition to big school. Please also let us know when your child is visiting their schools so we can support them during this exciting and sometimes worrying time. We have put up our school photo board so you can see where all the children are going to and will start our PE sessions next half term. A letter was sent out about this.
Look out for our caterpillar posts!
Last week our little caterpillars arrived, and the children are very excited to watch them grow, and see the lifecycle to butterflies. We will take lots of photos and will hopefully release them into the pre-school garden when they are ready.
We hope the children have been sharing their learning at home with you.
Social Distancing/Face masks/Lateral flow tests
Thank you to everyone for following our guidance and risk assessments to help keep everyone safe. As much as restrictions are being relaxed, we would still ask that you wear your masks when dropping off and collecting, to socially distance from others and try and have one adult to pick up to reduce the amount of people on site. Also, parents can access lateral flow tests for themselves to do at home as many people have covid but with no symptoms. Our staff are accessing these twice a week to help reduce the spread of this virus and we have all had the first injection.
If you have any questions or comments about our risk assessments, please do contact Zoe.
PARENT FEEDBACK VIA SURVEY MONKEY
In the next few weeks, we will send you a link to survey monkey, where we would ask that you could spare a few minutes to complete this, so we know what we are doing well and where we could develop. We look forward to receiving your feedback.
PRE-SCHOOL CELEBRATION WEEK: 12th July to 16th July
We have an action-packed week of activities lined up.
We will also have lots of picnic snack times and picnic lunch club outside as the children have requested this!
MEMORY STICKS FOR TAPESTRY JOURNALS: For those families leaving us this Summer we would like to offer you the opportunity to either download your own child’s journal at home or we can do it at pre-school and put it on a memory stick for you, at the cost of £3.00. Please see separate tapestry notification for more details.
30 HOURS FUNDING ELIGIBILITY: If your child is staying with us in September and you have requested more than 15 hours funded sessions, please can you apply for your code. Please give this number and your NI number to a member of staff so we can ensure the funding is in place by September.
https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk Please also let Zoe know if you wish to change your child’s sessions for the September term as we have some space to do this.
