WHAT TO BRING TO PRE-SCHOOL
Please can you ensure ALL ITEMS your child brings into pre-school are clearly labelled with their name. Each child should come with a named bag, a full change of clothes, and a coat. Named sun cream and sunhat, and wellies if wet. If your child wears nappies, please can you provide spare nappies, wipes and nappy bags to enable us to change them.
Invoices for lunch club or session fees are due in advance, in current climates we would prefer payments directly into our direct bank. Please keep up to date with your payments.
30 HOURS FUNDING ELIGIBILITY:
Please can we remind those families who are accessing 30hrs funding that they need to re-check their eligibility every 3 months. If this is not completed you will be charged for the sessions.
You can check now if you think you would like to access this in the January term.
We have a Ladybirds Porchester page for you to be involved with, please find us and join in to keep up to date with what’s going on. You can also visit our website www.ladybirdsrus.co.uk
Please be aware that we use the online journal Tapestry to record your child’s learning and development at pre-school. By now you should’ve all received a log in password and be able to access your child’s page. Please do add your own photos and observations from home experiences, we love to see them. Any questions come and chat to Zoe.
Accident forms will now be uploaded to your tapestry account and we ask that you comment on them to acknowledge you have seen them.
Under current restrictions and guidelines about not having parents into pre-school, parent partnership is even more important to us. We would like to ensure we build up these relationships with you and would ask that you share information/messages on tapestry where we can respond, and you actively have a look at the photos and observations we upload of your child.
At collection and drop off times Zoe will be an extra member of staff in the garden to talk to parents, pass on any messages and generally make sure that all our families and children are happy and settled. Please come over for a chat ?
Equally if you would like to speak to your child’s keyperson pleases do ask at the door and we will send them into the garden to see you as soon as they can.
These is all new for all of us and we are learning and tweaking as we go. Thank you though for all your support and following our guidelines to keep us all safe and healthy.
Parent consultations and reports
This year we will be sending home settling in reports for ALL our families just before October half term, we will then offer appointments for face to face consultations in February and July (if government guidelines allow us) where you can talk to your child’s key person and discuss progress and next steps. However, feel free to chat to staff in between these times if you have any questions/ concerns and we of course will help you.

LADYBIRDS PRESCHOOL SNACK DONATIONS
We currently offer a healthy snack choice every morning and afternoon session, for all, of our preschool children. Current Government policy does not permit Preschools and Nurseries to provide snack out of Government Early Years Funding. Therefore, to fund snack we are suggesting a voluntary donation of £1.00 per child per week. This is not mandatory and no child would be refused a snack. We appreciate that some children attend for more sessions than others so if £1.00 seems a little high we would be delighted with any amount that you feel is appropriate. Equally, if you wish to donate more, we would not refuse this! We are a not for profit charity so all monies donated or raised through fund raising always goes back to directly benefit the children in our care.
Donations can be paid via online banking Using your child’s name & the word ‘Snack’
as the reference. Sort Code 08 92 99
Thank you in advance.
